Recommend

Configurable Strategies has a number of enhancements to increase personalization and diversify results. Category and Brand affinity have been added as seed options to personalize results based upon an individual user's affinity to one or more categories or brands. For example, you can choose a top seller model and choose category affinity, where the top sellers are then specific to the categories of interest for each user.

Category and Brand Affinity are available for Top Sellers, Top Products, New Arrivals, or any of your own DSW models. The options appear as seed options when selecting the relevant models.

Category diversity is now available to be applied to any model and seed combination to diversify product recommendations by category. For example, you can now select the New Arrivals model, choose to seed the model by a user's Brand Affinity, then diversify the recommendations by category. If your product catalog has multiple categories assigned to the product you will need to identify the primary categories to use this feature.

Another feature to help personalize or diversify product recommendations is found in the Additional Options section where you can increase the maximum number of products to return from the strategy. You may want to use this feature when applying User Affinity sorting to the products in a model.  For example, when selecting Top Sellers and changing this value from 50 to 300, more products will be considered for User Affinity ranking for individual users.
