Advanced Merchandising

Improvements

  • 1) It is now possible to specify the existence of a cNet attributes as a context parameter for Advanced Merchandising rules.
  • 2) Rule messages can be localized

Dashboard

Improvements

  • User Authentication is now via OneLogin (a 3rd Party service) vs. our internal authentication system.  The DevOps team provided this update.
    • Updates were made to move user authentication and permission access management to OneLogin (a 3rd Party service) via Security Assertion Markup Language (SAML) authentication.
      • This provides greater security and a more industry standard method to authenticate users and their access permissions vs. our original internal authentication system.
      • Movement from one UI component (Portal to Engage, Engage to Promo, ...) should be seamless to our users.
    •

Discover

Improvements

  • Initial updates for the Phase 2 deployment of new Find functionality.  The Beta version of the Find service is being worked and will be available on a restricted basis within the next few releases.  Additional information will be provided.

Engage

Improvements

  • Previously all placeholders were needed to qualify a content to a placement. Now, only placeholders that are set to "Required" will be effective. If you experience more content than you expected after the fix, please review your setting for the placeholders. Set it to "Required" if you intend to use it.

Recommend

Improvements

  • Product Attributes have been re-factored to allow for Regional/Local variations.
    • The internal storage of product attribute values has been modified to be capable of storing values specific to different localization contexts (region/language). This allows us to serve region specific values as well as moving us in the direction of a document oriented catalog model that the platform will be implementing in the near term.
  • Refinements do not require Operations enablement.
    • In order to support refinements in product recommendations, a site had to request a database update from operations to enable the feature in addition to specifying the parameters at runtime. Now, specifying the parameters at runtime is sufficient to case refinements to fire.

Science

Improvements

  • Bug fix for Context Extended King Of The Hill (KOTH).
    • Recommendations would fail to show if no model had been published in the new system. Now behavior will be that the system will explore if no model is available.
  • Updates for MVT's begun for Context Extended KOTH.
